Cathy Ellison

I am currently the counselor at Heritage Intermediate Grade Center. My Master's is in Counseling Pyschology at Northeastern State University. The hobbies I enjoy are four-wheeling, camping, boating and fishing.

Ashlea Eischen~ 6th Grade Science

I have been teaching in the Coweta Public Schools since 1993. She has taught Sixth grade Science, Reading, and Math. She is a member of the CEA negotiations team and treasurer. In her free time she spends it with her husband Ben and kids Avery and Emersyn Eischen.

Susan Landers

Susan Landers has 22 years of experience in library with 16 years at Coweta. She has been a librarian at Claremore Jr. College and started the first Elem. library in Inola. She has a BA degree in library from NSU with graduate courses from OU. She has lived in Oklahoma all her life except for 1 1/2 years in California while her husband was in the Marines. Her hobbies are gardening, cooking and reading.

Barbra Kilgore ~ 5th Grade Reading

I am the 5th grade Reading teacher. I graduated from NSU IN 1996. I have been teaching in Coweta since 1997. Most of those years were spent teaching 5th grade. I have taught several subjects but Reading is my favorite. I have lived in Coweta for most of my life. My husband and I have four grown children and eight grandchildren.


Jacob Wright

I am Jacob Wright and have been an assistant band director with Coweta Public Schools since June 2015. Before Coweta, I taught math in Tulsa Public Schools through Teach for America. As well as math I received a bachelor's degree in music education from Capital University in Columbus, OH. In addition to teaching at Coweta, I sing in the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus and teach at Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps in Milwaukee, WI."

Rhonda Carlile ~ 5th Grade Science

My name is Rhonda Carlile. My husband, Dave and I, have two, grown boys and a spoiled Basset Hound, named, Bonnie. I received my teaching degree from NSU and I am a National Board Certified Teacher. I started teaching in 1994 with Coweta and have remained a teacher here since.

Cindy Murray ~ 5th Grade Social Studies

I grew up in Michigan and graduated from Central Michigan University. I currently teach 5th grade History and have taught for 22 years. I am married and have two sons.

Julie Spohn

I am Julie Spohn, Heritage Remedial Specialist. I began working in Coweta in 1999 as a 6th Grade Reading teacher. After teaching Reading and Social Studies, I taught 15 years of 6th grade math before moving to the position of Remedial Specialist.

Hannah Christy

My name is Hannah Christy and I graduated NSU in the Spring of 2017. I started my teaching career here in Coweta in the 2017-2018 school year in the fourth grade. Although I spent my whole life in Wagoner I love working here at HIGC. I come from a long line of teachers that include my mother, my father, and my older middle sister. I attend Life.Church in Broken Arrow. I have two older sisters who have brought me the title of aunt to two girls (Clara and Emilynn) and two boys (Colton and Levi). I have only begun my journey and I cannot wait to see where it and God take me!

Angela Raunikar

My name is Angela Raunikar and I am a graduate of Northeastern State University. I have 16 years' experience teaching in public schools. The past 12 years have been here at Coweta Public Schools.
I am married to my best friend, Roy. We have three children Sheena, Sarah, and Evan. We have been married for 32 years. We enjoy snow skiing, water sports, and our adorable grandson "Cooper".
It is an honor to be a part of the HIGC team!

Loyd Collins ~ Physical Education Instructor

I am a graduate of Northeastern State University. I have my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and my Masters in Public School Administration. I taught 4th grade for 10 years before moving to my current position as Physical Education teacher at Heritage. I have been married for almost 10 years to my beautiful wife Jessica, and we have been blessed with 3 amazing and talented girls. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, running, reading and being outdoors. I love teaching Physical Education, and feel blessed to be a part of the Heritage IGC family and Coweta Public School system.

Kenli Stanfill ~ 5th Grade Math

I graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education in 2008. I started working for Coweta Public Schools in 2011 at Central Elementary. I am very excited to be a Tiger once again!! I grew up in the small town of Westville, OK. I have two children Riley and Jaxson. In my free time I enjoy running, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Nathan Akehurst ~ 4th Grade

I was raised in Haskell, OK... yeah I'm a Haymaker. I graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2009 and received my Master's degree in 2018. I started teaching in Coweta in 2011 at Central Elementary. I received teacher of the year for Heritage IGC 2014-2015! I'm currently the Assistant Athletic Director for the Jr High. I have a beautiful wife and two children that I love to spend time with. In my free time I enjoy kayaking, gardening, fishing, working out, disc golf, camping, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Angela Tackett ~ 4th Grade

I have lived in Coweta my entire life and attended Coweta Public Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. I received my degree from Northeaster State University. I have been married to Brad Tackett since 1990. We have 1 daughter Taylor and 1 son, Austin. I have taught for 20 years. I also taught in a Christian pre-school for seven years. I love teaching and I am so thankful for the privilege of being a part of my students' lives. It is my desire to make a difference and influence them in a positive way.


Brent Deacon ~ Music Instructor

I am a 2006 graduate of Northeastern State University with a degree in Music Education. Before coming to Heritage I was an adjunct guitar and electric bass instructor at Tulsa Community College for nine years where I taught beginning guitar classes and private lessons to music majors and non-majors. I also started and directed the Tulsa Community College guitar ensemble in 2008. During this time I also had a large guitar studio where I taught about 60 – 80 one-on-one music lessons a week. I was also a very active musician performing in the Tulsa and surrounding areas playing with my Jazz Group "Primal Swing" and also doing performances with the Tulsa PAC, the TCC signature symphony, the Bartlesville Symphony and the Muskogee Little Theater as well as many other freelance performances. As a member of "Primal Swing" I wrote and arranged our first album "Beyond the Horizon" and had the opportunity to travel and perform in many places like Los Angeles, California at the "Hip Kitty" jazz club and in Europe at the world renowned "Jazz Bar" in Edinburgh, Scotland. Since joining the faculty at Heritage I have started a fifth grade Ukulele program with a grant from the Coweta Education Foundation and a sixth grade guitar program with a grant I was awarded through Cox Charities Innovations in Education.

Jennifer Bradley ~ Fine Arts Instructor

I have taught a total of 19 years, 7 of those in Coweta. I was a regular classroom teacher 4 of those years before changing to Art and I am so blessed to teach my love of art and hobby to others. I am blessed to work at Heritage IGC! I am a firm believer in Art Raising Thinking Skills and I believe it is a valuable part of a child's and adult's education of never-ending knowledge. Art is constantly growing and changing by adding old with the new. I love for guests to visit our classroom and participate with the students where you are always welcome.
My family is growing. My husband of 27 years, is an RN wound care director. We have three wonderful children. My oldest, Lance, is in the Air Force and his wife is Kieli. They will be adding to my grandchildren list in 2019, but moving to Germany! My daughter, Jessica is studying elementary education and her husband, Brad, is a police officer. They have blessed me with my first granddaughter, Bella, and another child is on the way, also 2019!. My baby boy, Luke, is a senior here at Coweta and current goal is entering the US Navy.

Tiffany Matthews ~ Speech-Language Pathologist

I started my career as a Speech-Language Pathologist in 2001 in Hobbs, New Mexico. I have been married to Randy Matthews since 2004 and we have one daughter, Macee. I enjoy spending time with my family and watching Macee play soccer, basketball, and dance. I also enjoy traveling, reading, and playing with my two adorable dogs, Maggie and Annie. I love being a Speech Pathologist and helping make a difference in children's lives.

Wendy Yelton

Married to husband Mike and has a daughter, Allison and two schnauzers.
I consider it an important responsibility and a privilege to teach children. My goal each year is to prepare my students for fifth grade while having fun in the process.

Christina Kennedy ~ 5th Grade Language

I am the 5th grade Language Arts teacher at Heritage. I graduated from NSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1994. I worked for Coweta Public Schools as a teacher's assistant for 7 years before receiving my certification to teach in 2015. I'm very fortunate to have the opportunity to teach in the same district where I graduated from high school.

Lisa Potts ~ 6th Grade English

I began teaching 6th grade English in Coweta in 1990, and I am happily still here!!
I am a "word nerd"!! I love the English language, and I love helping my students learn how to use it in the most effective way possible. I live in Tulsa with my husband, Robert, and our sweet fur baby, Tank. Our son, Trey, goes to college at OU and our daughter, Bethany, goes to college at OSU.

Amanda Burleson

My name is Amanda Burleson and I am a resource teacher at Heritage. I received my education at Northeastern State University. I am married to my husband, Mathew and have one daughter, Faith. We have three fur babies. Two dogs, Autumn and James and a chinchilla named Chimi.

Shiann Myers ~ 6th Grade Math

I am currently the 6th grade math teacher at HIGC. I have also taught at Coweta Junior High. I have taught 6th grade math lab, 6th grade math, 6th grade advanced, 7th grade math lab, 7th grade math, 8th grade math lab, 8th grade pre-algebra, and Algebra 1. When I am not teaching math, I am spending time with my husband of over 25 years and our 4 children. 2 of whom are Coweta graduates. I believe everyone can learn math and I try my best to make it an enjoyable process!

Billie Jean Wheeler ~ Reading & Language Resource

I am a Reading & Language Resource classroom teacher at Heritage IGC. I have taught in Coweta for 10 years. I taught for 12 years in Henryetta prior to coming to Coweta. I grew up and graduated from high school in Henryetta in 1992. I attended college at Connors State College and graduated with my Associate's degree in Science in 1994. I then continued on to NSU and completed my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education in 1996. I have been married for 26 years to my husband Brett. He manages a marble & granite importing company in Broken Arrow and is a bi-vocational Pastor, as well. We planted CrossPoint Baptist Church in Coweta in 2015. Together, we have 3 amazing kiddos. Brayden is 23, attends NSU, Payden is 19, attends UCO, and Cayden is 14, an 8th grade student at Sloat Junior High School. In my time out of the classroom, I spend lots of time watching my son play football and basketball. We love anything outdoors! We are very busy with children and youth activities with our church as well


Danny Williamson ~ 6th Grade Social Studies

I am a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and my name is Danny Williamson, Jr. Most people in Coweta know me as "Coach Dan" since I've been involved in coaching the youth of this community. I received my Bachelor's Degree from NSU and most of my Master's work has been with OU. I retired as the Assistant Superintendent of the Tulsa County Juvenile Court's Detention Home and pursued a second career in teaching; so I could give back to the community that has given so much to my family and me. I transferred from teaching 10 years at the CJH and now currently assigned to teach 6th grade Social Studies at Heritage IGC. In 1983, I married my wife (Mary), who is the love of my life and biggest supporter. After being raised in Ohio and after serving as a MP, K9 Handler/Kennelmaster, and Criminal Investigator (CID) in the Marine Corps; we moved here from California with our two children. My daughter (Kaylene) and son (Danny III) both attended Coweta Public Schools from K-12; and both graduated Valedictorians of their class. Since then, both have also graduated from OU and are now working as successful Engineers. Kaylene graduated from Texas A&M Law School and has passed the Texas Bar Exam. For fun, I love to fish. Every year I go to Canada to catch walleye. But if I'm not fishing; I am spending time with my 4 grandkids, watching Coweta sporting events, or I am a attending Life Church. My goal is to make education fun and develop lifelong learners.
